About LCSUT
Welcome to the homepage of the Language Creation Society at the University of Texas at Austin!
We are a student organization dedicated to the art of constructing languages, or "conlanging." If you are a current UT student, staff, or faculty member, feel free to access our Facebook page (valid UTeid required). For our non-UT members, prospective students, and alumni, this website will be your source of news, events, and other communications within our organization. The Language Creation Society at the University of Texas at Austin formed in February of 2012 and was registered as an official student organization shortly thereafter. Since then, LCSUT has grown significantly, and has even become an affiliate of the Language Creation Society. We have made it our goal to promote and encourage the practice of conlanging within both the UT and greater Austin communities by providing a positive and welcoming atmosphere in which to conlang, as well as linguistic resources and connections with experienced members. We accept conlangers of all experience levels and backgrounds; the only qualification you must have in order to join is an interest in conlanging. No prior experience is necessary.
